The Project of Teacher Training on Digital Skills in Marginalized Areas in Giza (One of the villages of the Decent Life Initiative)

Based on the presidential initiation “Hayah Karima” the national project for improvement the most needed areas, launched by his Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi 2019 with the aim of improving the living conditions in various educational, social, health, and economical fields through the integration and unification of efforts between national institutions, the private sector, and international organizations. 

Within the framework of cooperation between Ain Shams University represented by the Center of Excellence Education at the Faculty of Education and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the current project, which aims to develop digital skills and integrate technology in education for Giza teachers, is among one of the most important projects launched by UNESCO within the framework of its major initiative (Technologically Equipped Schools Available To All) in Egypt, believing in the crucial role of technology in building flexible schools that could work efficiently under all different circumstances.

About 200 teachers from different specializations from kindergarten to secondary school in Giza Governorate (El Saaf and El Badrashin area), of the villages of Decent Life Initiative have developed their ICT Skills to employ digital skills and integrate technological innovations in the teaching and learning processes at an efficient level to enable development of the Egyptian Education System and raises efficiency of the desired learning outcomes.
